Decorating Neeniemomma's Christmas Tree

Since my Grandfather passed away, Matt and I have typically decorated my Neeniemomma's house for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving. We then take it down for her the day after Christmas. Well this year Hotrod and Princess got to do the decorating!

Is it a good idea to let them on the step ladder like that?
Good parenting 101!

Seriously....the step ladder?

Who put me with these yahoos?

You're my brother? Whose decision was that?

Torture...sister style.

I know this pic is blurry, but it is still precious!!!!! It was so good to be home for Thanksgiving this year!!! Looking forward to Christmas!

Thanksgiving craftiness!

I am so thankful for the internet! Without it our school days would be pretty boring.  Not being a crafty person, it makes it difficult to come up with things for the holidays or seasons that my kids would like to do.
We typically scroll through the images till we find something that is of interest and feasible. Yesterday we found leaf turkeys!

How did my hands end up in the picture? Hotrod picked up my camera and started clicking. I found it interesting to see what he took a picture of.

Here is another from Hotrod.  I love this. Blurry, yes, but that is not the point.  My coffee mug is part of his life, one of his images of me. What I love, is that this is an image of my mother for me. For that matter, just about every woman in my family! :)

Another from Hotrod. He was proud of his turkey!

Veteran's Day Parade

Today, in honor of our veterans, our little town had a Veteran's Day Parade. I love them. There is something wonderful about celebrating our country's flag and the men and women who give themselves for it.

It truly is a beautiful sight.

There is always something different in the face of an older veteran.

Isn't she great? I wonder what her story is.

Wait a minute!! It is one of my favorite veteran's!!! And his new golf cart! They will let anyone in the parade these days. ;)

Yes, that is Hotrod and Princess. I think they will be in every parade now that Pappy is here! Fun! Yes, Princess is in a princess dress...

Does she not just exude drama?

My eldest...tears come to my eyes just thinking about the possibility of his serving this country someday. What kind of country will it be when he is old enough to make that decision?
Praise God that He is in control! God...not my son...

Just to note...I do not know anyone in these pictures (aside from my own). I just loved them in the parade.
