First tooth....actually, two!!!!

Ok, if truth be told, I have been dreading this moment.  Hotrod loosing his first tooth. Why? To say that his pain tolerance is low, well. Our luck? Two teeth at once!

It went much better than expected. The only true torment came with the second tooth. Bravery finally kicked in and Hotrod pulled the second tooth himself. WHEW!!! Glad that is over!

Instead of the tooth fairy,  Dad promised a new toy if both teeth came out tonight. A trip to wal-mart will be made after church tomorrow!

Did mention that I was glad this was over? How many more teeth?

To the fire station!

Yesterday was our first fieldtrip! They are always better with friends, so we joined up with the B's and the L's. Thankfully, Mrs. B's bro n law is a firefighter with our local fire department. He gave us a great tour!

Mr. D showed the kids all sorts of cool "toys". This was probably the coolest! With it you can read the temperature of whatever you point it at....cool!

All of the crew! Do you realize that they have know each other since birth? Hopefully, they will always be friends. :)

Princess might have gotten a little bored...

Of course Hotrod is right in the middle!

Ok, honestly, this is one of my favorite pictures. She is my beautiful girl and I am not biased at all! :)

Mr. D was an awesome tour guide!

He might have had a slight malfunction in his equipment....it was loud!!

Full gear in the middle of the summer....WHEW!!!! Made this pregnant momma sweat just looking at him!

We call this "precious!". :)

Really, this was a seriously cool toy!

Alright, here is where we show our age...Hotrod asked what this handle was for...yeah.  He had never seen a handle that rolled down a window!

Thanks, again, Mr. D!!! It was a fun time!!

Carmel apples

Did I tell you about this caramel apple? It was serious business.
Hotrod specifically asked Grandma to make caramel so he could experience his first caramel apple...on a stick. It had to be on a stick. Thankfully,we had one apple, but Grandma did not have a stick. Her grandson was adamant about the apple being on a stick.
How was the problem solved? Popsicles!!!!! Of course you can eat Popsicles before caramel apples, we were at Grandma's house!
With all the complications taken care of, Hotrod could now enjoy his first caramel apple. He was one happy little boy!

Ahhhhhh! The anticipation!

Did caramel ever stretch so?
This is the definition of happiness and carefree summer days.
